WASHINGTON, D.C. — The National Wildlife Federation announced that Talia Walsh will join the organization as vice president for Ranger Rick brands and engagement. With nearly two decades of brand development experience, Walsh will lead the strategy to drive growth and impact across all five award-winning Ranger Rick children’s magazine titles.
“Talia Walsh has a phenomenal track record shaping successful brand voices, and we’re thrilled to have her join our executive team,” said Collin O’Mara, president and CEO of the National Wildlife Federation. “In key roles at PwC and Heal the Bay, Talia spearheaded communications strategies that inspired audiences and sparked new engagement around wildlife, clean water and conservation. Her leadership will allow Ranger Rick to reach many more young conservationists, forging the lifelong connections to wildlife and nature that are absolutely critical to our mission.”
“I was a Ranger Rick kid, so I’m honored to be joining NWF to help more families, educators, and readers find amazing wildlife stories in our magazines,” Walsh said. “Creating compelling opportunities for young people to learn and care about our planet has never been more important.”
Walsh has overseen major increases in digital engagement in previous roles, including leadership positions on PwC’s US sustainability and climate campaigns, the communications and marketing department at California nonprofit Heal the Bay, and community and editorial programs at Live Nation. She is a graduate of Syracuse University and a former park ranger at Lincoln Woods State Park in Rhode Island.
